Detox salad after the bank holiday BBQ feast. These are radishes from our local market, with Wensleydale cheese crumbled on top, and a lot of dill. A combination of ingredients that screams Spring like no other.
This year it was quite hard to decide what to grow in my new garden. More space means that I can have more choice, right? But I felt quite stuck not knowing what to choose. However, three plants seemed to always be at the top of my list: radishes – I’ve planted black and white ones, they are amazing in salads but even more amazing when pickled; dill – not only for eating it fresh, but for pickles again and also for the pollen; and last but not least, rosemary – mainly but not exclusively for our gin and tonic 🙂
